”Diversity Management” leads your firm to success

The diversity management was introduced as a management approach to make more profits in the first place.
But these years, its advantages has been re-recognized as a suitable strategy to promote the equity of gender in the workplace.

By addressing and supporting multiple lifestyles and personal characteristics,
employees who have various backgrounds will be motivated and can perform better at their workplaces.

An evidence to show the diversity’s potential

A survey of 21,980 firms from 91 countries conducted by the Peterson Institute for International Economics and it reported that having women at the C-suite level significantly increases net margins.

“A profitable firm at which 30 percent of leaders are women could expect to add more than 1 percentage point to its net margin compared with an otherwise similar firm with no female leaders,”
“By way of comparison, the typical profitable firm in our sample had a net profit margin of 6.4 percent, so a 1 percentage point increase represents a 15 percent boost to profitability.”

Thus, according to the report, the firms where women are at some managerial posts have a high potential to increase the net margins. More specifically, if you have women at 30% of managerial posts, the net margin will be soar by 15%. This is astonishing.

Profits are depended on employees’ contribution and motivation

To improve the inequity of gender at the workstation, truly necessary innovation must be in the management approaches, not merely to change the boarding members or leaders to women.

Managers and leaders have a responsibility of motivating workers to enhance their motivation and also the profit. The diversity management help managers and leaders to do so.

Granting both employers and employees, the diversity management needs to be expanded to all firms from big to small in the world.
